Western Building Consultants Bristol are committed to operating in an ethical manner, our staff are bound by the extremely high professional ethic standards required by the RICS & CIAT. We recognise that this alone is not enough, we need to continuely improve our processes and ethical practices . In 2015 we introduced a new policy, our Coporate Social Responsibility Policy (CSR) is an all encompasing stratergy and operation manual with measurable targets rather than a vague set of principles. Our CSR goals and commitments for 2015/2016 include
We aim to achieve a 100% fairtrade office by 2016, all beverages and products provided to staff will be fairtrade certified where possible.
We have sponsored several local teams including Bath Arsenal, Ralph Allen Netball & Old Culverhaysians Rugby FC
In 2015 we donated funds to a project in Bath "wherever the need" which builds water wells and sanitation in Sierra Leone
We are committed to providing quality design for housing, in 2016 we will be inviting a number of social housing providers to take part in free CPD events.
As part of our commitment to providing accessible work environments we aim to have at least 60% of our office locations to be accessible by wheelchair users by 2017.
All of our staff that have completed their initial training period shall be paid the living wage regardless of their age.
We pay for post graduate programs and research for our staff with a no barrier approach.
We will ensure that all staff understand the impact of their designs on the local and wider environment.
We have a galley in our Hub office in Bath showcasing the work of local artists.
