As well as vocational training from our training affiliate CABE many of our employees hold post graduate academic qualifications.

We have links with local universities such as University of the West of England, Oxford Brookes & Bath University, where we often take on high calibre placement and graduate students. We also have links further afield with the Technical University of Madrid and VIA University College in Denmark drawing graduates from the field of Architectural Technology & Civil Engineering.

Our staff are provided with tailored training pathways and development plans to ensure their continued professional development. As a company we pay for memberships to professional bodies to ensure our staff have the upmost ethical and professional standards as required by their governing body. Including the overarching commitment to our regulatory bodies the RICS and CIAT.

Ian Maddams RIBA Lead Architect, Ian has had an illustrious career working in and around Bristol and Bath for several different architect practices and is a competent lead in all commercial and residential projects, bringing his unique style to the design and build process.	Jennifer Broad BSc (Hons) Architectural Technologist, Jennifer studied at UWE and achieved a 1st Degree in Architectural Technology & Design, she works on a range of projects throughout the South West.
Martin Green ACABE Senior Building Control Surveyor Martin has a wealth of site knowledge having spent much of his career as a contractor. He has spent the last 15 years in a Building Control capacity.	Paul Keegan MRICS DipSurv MBA Surveying manager- Paul has a wealth of experience working in construction, building control and surveying. With his expertise in building surveys, building regulations and project administration in Bristol.
Sam George MSc BSc (Hons) MCIAT FCABE C.Build E AssocRICS Sam is the Chief Operating Director, a chartered building engineer, architectural technologist and surveyor. He has worked in a number of local architecture firms before settling with Western Building Consultants and is a specialist in CDM consultancy.	Kerry Aylott Lead Administrator -Marketing, Sales and Training, Kerry has a diploma in design and education and is widely experienced in administration and customer facing roles.
James Dean MSc BSc(Hons) MCIAT FCABE C.Build E AssocRICS MFPWS. James is the managing director of the practice and has worked for WBC for over 10 years. He specialises in residential design developments and party wall matters.	Charles Burgess MRICS Charles is the founding member of WBC and started the practice over 13 years ago. He now acts as a consulting surveyor.
Ebony Blackmore Administrator, Ebony works largely as a building control administrator and has had a career in the administrative field.	Mark Wiltshire BSc(Hons) ACIAT Mark is the architecture manager and conservation specialist. Mark provides the operational management for the architecture team and advises on listed building matters, having studied for an architectural conservation masters degree.
Jack Hussey Trainee Building Surveyor, having started his career with WBC at just seventeen Jack has progressed to the role of trainee building surveyor and senior administrator.
